Management Bios
Wolf E. Regener, President & CEO
Mr. Regener has held Senior management positions with four independent
oil and gas company’s for the last 20 years. He holds a Business of Economics degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara. In those positions he has overseen and handled the sales, financial, accounting, land, project evaluation, financing and field coordination duties. In addition Mr. Regener has experience in real estate management, financial advisement, contract negotiations and economic evaluations. Mr. Regener is also on the Board of Directors of the California Independent Petroleum Association (CIPA), where he has served for over twelve years.
C. S. (Juneyt) Tirmandi, CFO
Mr. Tirmandi brings over 27 years of experience in oil and gas, corporate finance and capital markets to the Company. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Tirmandi was a corporate finance partner with the firm of Meyers Norris Penny, LLP. Mr. Tirmandi holds Chartered Accountant and Chartered Business Valuator designations.
Harold Neal, Operations Manager
Mr. Neal brings 29 years of broad based oil and gas industry experience
major and large independent oil and gas companies through domestic and
international assignments. He has held varied engineering
responsibilities in drilling, completions, stimulations and productions
throughout the Mid-continent and Rocky Mountain Regions. Most recently
he has been involved in the optimization of stimulation and production
operations in tight gas and shale plays. He holds a Bachelors degree
in Petroleum Engineering from Tulsa University.
Steven M. Warshauer, Ph.D. Director of Geology
Dr. Warshauer brings over 25 years of experience as a geologist and
manager in international and domestic exploration, operations, research and
training. Most recently Dr. Warshauer was Senior Geological Advisor
for Devon's European Unconventional Resource Team. His career also
includes working for Tenneco, British Gas and Dominion Exploration &
Production Inc. He is experienced in the evaluation of unconventional
resources such as shale gas, tight gas sands and CBM. In addition to
his significant experience with unconventional resources, he brings vast
experience in the generation of conventional oil and gas projects, as well
as extensive basin analysis work. Dr. Warshauer is also a former
Tenured Associate Professor of Geology at West Virginia University, which he
left to pursue hands on work in the E&P industry.
James M. Hill, VP of Exploration - New Ventures
Mr. Hill brings 29 years of oil industry experience in basin exploration and development in addition to beginning his career with the USGS. While at the USGS, a majority of his time was spent on research on the Monterey Shale ending with his Masters Thesis on the Monterey Shale. His current focus is on conventional and unconventional reservoir exploration and development using the latest geochemical and geophysical techniques.
Steve Raunsbak, Controller
Mr. Raunsback brings over 15 years of experience in accounting with 10 years in oil and gas accounting. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Raunsbak was the Assistant Controller for Venoco, Inc. Mr. Raunsbak holds a Business of Economics degree, with an emphasis on accounting from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Jason Byl, Exploration Geologist
Mr. Byl brings 12 years of exploration and development experience working for independents and as a consultant. His experience includes prospect, field and basin evaluations with an emphasis on risk management. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in geophysics.
Jeff Lawton, Senior Geophysicist
Mr. Lawton brings 27 years of broad range geological and geophysical experience in oil and gas exploration. He has held various Geophysical and Management positions with independent as well as major oil and gas companies. He has a Masters Degree in geology from the University of Texas, Austin, TX.
Debra Hambleton, Landman
Ms. Hambleton brings 25 years of broad range of experience in the in oil and gas industry. She has held various technical positions with Independent oil and gas as well as service companies. She has a Bachelors of Science degree in Environmental Resource/Land Management from California State University, Bakersfield.
